ClubRules&Policies

The constitution, rules, and policies that guide Career Catalyst Club's operations, approved by the Director of GITM. All members and participants are expected to comply.

Note: These policies are officially adopted by Career Catalyst Club, GITM Lucknow and are subject to change with Director approval. For questions or clarification, please use the Contact page.

Club Constitution

  1. Career Catalyst Club is officially affiliated with Goel Institute of Technology & Management (GITM) and operates under the Career Catalyst Program.
  2. Membership is open to all enrolled students of GITM.
  3. All major decisions are subject to approval by the Director, Dr. Rishi Asthana.
  4. Club objectives include career enrichment, literary activities, knowledge sharing, and community building.
  5. Leadership roles include: President, College Ambassador, Faculty Mentor, Operations Lead, Technical Lead, and Volunteers.

Code of Conduct

  1. All members and participants must maintain professionalism and respect at club events.
  2. Discrimination, harassment, or disruptive behaviour will result in removal from the club.
  3. Members attending external events on behalf of the club must seek prior approval from the Faculty Mentor or President.
  4. Volunteers must maintain regular attendance at core meetings; repeated unexcused absences may lead to reassignment.
  5. Personal opinions must not be expressed in the name of the club on any platform.

Event Attendance & Off-Campus Permissions

  1. Any member invited to an external/off-campus event must obtain approval from at least one faculty (Mentor or related) before attending.
  2. Attendance at all club events is logged digitally for records and certificate eligibility.
  3. Members must inform the relevant Lead in advance if they are unable to attend a scheduled event.
  4. All permissions and attendance records are cross-checked by the College Ambassador.

Social Media Policy

  1. All posts on official club accounts (Instagram, LinkedIn, etc.) must be approved by the College Ambassador or President before publishing.
  2. Content must be accurate, respectful, and aligned with the club's brand guidelines.
  3. No profanity, political statements, or unverified information may be posted.
  4. Posts should always credit GITM and the Career Catalyst Program partnership.
  5. Personal social media posts made in the name of the club are prohibited without prior approval.

Finance & Payment Policy

  1. All event registration fees and sponsorship funds are collected through official channels only (integrated payment gateway – not personal UPI/QR codes).
  2. All monetary transactions go through the club account managed by the college finance office.
  3. Receipts and invoices are mandatory for all expenses (venue, materials, catering).
  4. Refund and cancellation policies are posted clearly for each paid event.
  5. Financial reports are submitted to the Director semi-annually.

Certificates & Recognition

  1. Certificates of Excellence are issued to outstanding participants at the end of each semester.
  2. Eligibility is based on leadership, participation, and volunteer hours.
  3. Each certificate carries a unique verification code (QR/hash) to prevent forgery.
  4. Certificates are digitally generated and co-signed by the Faculty Mentor or Director.

Sponsorship Policy

  1. Partnerships with external companies must be approved by the Director to avoid conflicts of interest.
  2. Sponsors receive agreed-upon benefits (logo on materials, social mentions) per written terms.
  3. All sponsorship agreements must be in writing and approved before any funds are accepted.
  4. Sponsors have no influence over club governance or event content.
