60 Minutes of Vibe Code is a fast-paced, AI-driven hackathon that challenges students to solve a surprise problem statement using the power of AI coding tools — all within a single hour. Organized by the Career Catalyst Club, this event blends creativity, teamwork, and technical execution to give participants a real-world taste of modern software development.
Phase 1 — Problem Statement & Planning (15 mins)
- Problem statement revealed at the start of the event
- Teams brainstorm, strategize, and assign roles
- No coding allowed — planning only
Phase 2 — Vibe Coding & Presentation (60 mins + 5 min demo)
- Build a working prototype using any language, framework, or AI tool (ChatGPT, Gemini, GitHub Copilot, Cursor, Claude, etc.)
- Deliver a 5-minute live demo explaining your approach, AI prompts used, and problem-solving process
- Field questions from the judges
